It was another day at SIBM Pune where it all started off when we struck a random conversation about honeybees. The facts which were discussed in the conversation fascinated me and made me wonder about the life cycle of the bees, how they pollinate, the way they communicate with other bees, and the whole process in general.
Immediately, I told my friend that I wanted to learn beekeeping. The following day, she sent me a few links about beekeeping and also regarding a few certification courses. Some days passed and I returned to Hyderabad to enrol myself for the course in Rural Technology Park, Hyderabad. After completion of the course, I returned back to college and told her that I want to help farmers to grow financially by training them in beekeeping.
Without any second thought, she said that she would love to invest in the company. From there on we took off as a brand and decided to call it
THE GREAT HONEY COMPANY.
About Us
Currently based out in the South Indian state of Telangana, we at The Great Honey Co, are the producers of 100% Pure Natural Single-origin Raw Honey with no added preservatives, sugar or flavour.
We bring to you some very unique flavours which will refresh your tastebuds. We train the farmers for beekeeping and encourage them by putting beehives in the farms for pollination. The farmers collect the honey as the by-product. We help them grow financially by purchasing honey from them.
Consider it a gift from our bees to you. We aren't just a business that sells honey. We care about our farmers and bees. We pay special attention to each jar and beehive as if it's our first. We turned an idea from a random conversation into reality.
As of now, we have adopted a few farms and trained the farmers, and helped in placing the hives in their farms.
